The CHoir

Methodism, we are told, was 'born in song'.  This may be so, but sometimes, congregations need a bit of help and encouragement when singing unfamiliar hymns or songs.  This support is one of the prime functions of the Grangewood choir.

We provide choral support for congregational hymns and songs at Sunday morning services and also offer choral music contributions, both accompanied and unaccompanied to preachers.

Our repertoire includes a wide range of choral music from the 16th century right up to the present day.  For those who are still improving their sight reading or not able to attend all rehearsals, MP3 files of music currently being rehearsed are available via our choir web site and on CD for those without an internet connection enabling all choir members to practice at home and sing with confidence at services.

New members are always welcome - we meet for rehearsals on Thursday evenings so why not contact our choirmaster, Tony Grimley, on 01159255437 to confirm the venue and time - we are a very friendly group.
