Services in church

Writer: Grangewood Stay@Home BlogGrangewood Stay@Home Blog

The Church Council discussed a letter from our Chair of District Rev Loraine Mellor that strongly recommends that churches in Nottingham do not open for worship when the incidence of positive cases of Covid-19 is so high. Understandably, desires to continue worship in the building as well as agreement with this recommendation were expressed, but in a vote the majority did not agree with a proposal to continue to have services in the building. So this Sunday will be the last in the building until the situation is reviewed by Council on 1st December.  We recognise that this will be disappointing for many, at the same time as hoping to reduce the risk of infection.

As we move into a time of greater restriction again please remember those who are on their own or finding it hard to cope and keep in contact more again

Rev Christine
